I swear this idea made sense in my head, even if it sounds ridiculous. It felt like dejavu, strange at first, but once the first was made, the discovery was real.
The Embossed Glow: It captures that familiar quilted texture of a fresh roll, right down to the embossed floral patterns and the perforated tear seams. Under the night light, these textures stand out and pop beautifully against the soft, warm glow. Fun fact: my PC lagged for nearly an hour just to load the full surface geometry.
The Core: The center is 3D printed from wood-filled material to match the color and texture of cardboard, including the spiral seam found on real industrial rolls. You can rotate the inner core freely to position that seam exactly where you want it.
Since the core is opaque and would normally cause a dark spot, I designed hidden cut-outs within the roll to ensure it is illuminated from within. This allows the light to reach the entire surface, letting the TP glow far and wide.
